Okay, y'all. I don't post vanities but this one is a doozie. If you can help, great. If not, that's fine, too. And if this gets pulled, I understand.
This young (15-year-old) Texas performer has a chance to make it huge, and bring real rootsy-feeling music to the masses.
Maren Morris has been invited to compete in CountryThunder.com's Young Guns 4 competition, which has 40+ performers battling (through internet voting) for the opportunity to share the stage with folks like Darryl Worley, LeAnn Rimes, Sara Evans and Montgomery Gentry.
Country Thunder is a huge 5-day fest in Wisconsin next month.
I believe this young lady deserves a shot, so I thought FR's resources might be brought to bear to help her.
The voting process is a pain, but any help would be appreciated. You have to go to http://www.countrythunder.com/ct_2003/assets/cUP/index_wi_up.html. Click on her photo (about halfway down), then enter your email and they send a password (I guess to assure fairness in voting). Then you click again and vote. They limit you to one vote per 24 hours, per email. Voting continues daily until June 25.
If you want to hear Maren's music before you invest any time, please go to her website at http://www.marenmorris.com/music.htm
Thanks and apologies in advance.
Following is the message I received:

Sorry lost me there.. I never give out my email address.
Where in Wisconsin will this festival be held?
It's in Twin Lakes. I think it's a hour from Milwaukee.
