Prayer requested for the niece of trussell

I need to ask for prayers for my niece.
She is 22 years old, and was in a very serious auto accident today.

Her legs were pinned, and her upper body was thrown sideways. Her doctor says there is a blood clot in her leg, and her muscle in her leg is like ground meat.

They are observing her, but have not chosen to do surgery.

She lied and claimed responsibility for the accident because the other driver was a 15 year old who was speeding and talking on a cell phone. My niece didn't want the younger girl to get in trouble.

My sister has tried to talk to the police about this, but they wont let her submit a statement because she wasn't a witness to the accident. She is trying to tell the police what her daughter told her, so they can investigate the scene and find the truth.

Praise God my great nephew wasn't in the car with her. He is just barely a year old, and was with his grandma (my sister) when the accident happened.

Both cars are totaled!

Oh Trussell. I am sorry about your niece's accident & do know that she is on my list for strenght as she heals... and motormouth.. I am sorry for the tragic loss.. our young people so full of vitality & joy and when they are injured or dead.. and we cry & reach out for answers which are sometimes not readily there. prayers for all the families and loved ones involved... Life is a difficult road..

So far, I don't know what the police are going to do...I just hope they investigate thoroughly so the truth will be found out.

Cassy is sore and grumpy, and the doctors are still evaluating her for the blood clot.
