I often here Rush and other conservatives talk about seminars that liberals like me can attend to be instructed on how to call conservative talk shows, post on conservative websites, etc. The problem is that I have missed so many such seminars. Can somebody bring me up to speed? THANKS!
You have proven that to be a falacy.

Fly High Michelle (Donnie Vie) Enuff Z'Nuff
Six o'clock in the morning, still sitting here pouring the drinks till they're gone.
We did everything together, would have done it forever, how did we go wrong?
I know that what goes up comes down, I didn't know you hit the ground.
Why'd you have to give it up?
(Fly high Michelle.)
You were just a little girl.
(Fly high Michelle.)
I'll never look into your blue eyes,
Fly high Michelle.
We did it just for a good time, a misunderstood time, we lived with a fear.
I wish we still could have done things and not overhung things, I wish you were here.
I know I'll live a life of could have beens until new life begins.
Why'd you have to give it up?
(Fly high Michelle.)
You were just a little girl.
(Fly high Michelle.)
I'll never look into your blue eyes,
Fly high Michelle.
I'll say another prayer tonight and I'll see you in the light.
You had to give it up.
(Fly high Michelle.)
You were just a little girl.
(Fly high Michelle.)
I'll never look into your blue eyes,
Fly high Michelle.
You had to give it up.
(Fly high Michelle.)
You were just a little girl.
(Fly high Michelle.)
I'll never look into your blue eyes,
Fly high Michelle.
(ah-aah ah ah)
Fly high Michelle.
Fly high Michelle.
Fly high Michelle.
Evanescence - Where Will You Go
You're too important for anyone
You play the role of all you want to be
But I, I know who you really are
You're the one who cries when you're alone
[CHORUS:]
But where will you go
With no one left to save you from yourself
You can't escape the truth
You can't escape
You think that I can't see right through your eyes
Scared to death to face reality
No one seems to hear your hidden cries
You're left to face yourself alone
[Chorus]
I realize you're afraid
But you can't abandon everyone
You can't escape
You don't want to escape
I'm so sick of speaking words that no one understands
Is it clear enough that you can't live your whole life all alone
I can hear you in a whisper
But you can't even hear me screaming
[Chorus]
I realize you're afraid
But you can't reject the whole world
You can't escape
You won't escape
You can't escape
You don't want to escape
"I don't know why, but I always liked that song, until I decided it's moral outlook was a little flakier than I could be comfortable with...so sighing"
Reed did the whole song as a piece of humor.....he was just observing how bizzare NYC street life was in the early 70's. I still think it is funny, but I admit it exemplifies moral depravity ;-)
Duran Duran - Union of the Snake
Telegram force and ready
I knew this was a big mistake
There's a fine line drawing
My senses together
And I think it's about to break
If I listen close I can hear them singers
Voices in your body coming through on the radio
The Union of the Snake is on the climb
Moving up it's gonna race it's gonna break
Through the borderline
Nightshades on a warning
Give me strength at least give me a light
Give me anything even sympathy
There's a chance you could be right
The Union of the Snake is on the climb
It's gonna race it's gonna break
Gonna move up to the borderline
But it has just such a great jazzy rock sound....
Leaves are falling all around, It's time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay.
But now it's time for me to go. The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it's headed my way.
Sometimes I grow so tired, but I know I've got one thing I got to do...
*Ramble On, And now's the time, the time is now, to sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, Ramble On,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.
Got no time to for spreadin' roots, The time has come to be gone.
And to' our health we drank a thousand times, it's time to Ramble On.
* Chorus
Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.
How years ago in days of old, when magic filled the air.
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah.
* Chorus
Gonna ramble on, sing my song. Gotta keep-a-searchin' for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world. I can't stop this feelin' in my heart
Gotta keep searchin' for my baby. I can't find my bluebird!
sounds like Led Zepplin
How did this get started anyway?
Your position, eskimo...
Your position, Darksheare....
Mediator conclusion..
Have any rational responses?
Well Duh...I was always especially a Led Zeppelin fan
But here's something else not zeppelin:
Just take a pebble and cast it to the sea,
Then watch the ripples that unfold into me,
My face spill so gently into your eyes,
Disturbing the waters of our lives.
Shreds of our memories are lying on your grass;
Wounded words of laughter are graveyards of the past.
Photographs are grey and torn, scattered in your fields
Letters of your mem'ries are not real.
Sadness on your shoulders like a wornout overcoat
In pockets creased and tattered hang the rags of your hope.
The daybreak is your midnight; the colours have all died.
Disturbing the waters of our lives, of our lives, of our lives, lives,
lives, lives...
Of our lives.
_________
I just loved this song when I was in HS....
Dunno at this point.
Think we can suitably crush this thread at least?
That was cheat codes to the game.
IF you'd bothered reading it.
Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence
Words like violence
Break the silence
Come crashing in
Into my little world
Painful to me
Pierce right through me
Can't you understand
Oh my little girl
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm
Vows are spoken
To be broken
Feelings are intense
Words are trivial
Pleasures remain
So does the pain
Words are meaningless
And forgettable
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm
Enjoy the silence
What, and rob me of all the nostaglia of dredging up the songs that covered the various crises and transitions of my life?
I'm alone
sitting with my empty glass
my four walls
follow me through my past
I was on a Paris train
I emerged in London rain
and you were waiting there
swimming through apologies
I remember searching for the perfect words
I was hoping you might change your mind
I remember a soldier sleeping next to me
riding on the Metro
You wore white
smiling as you took my hand
so removed
we spoke of wintertime in France
minutes passed with shallow words
years have passed and still the hurt
I can see you now
smiling as I pulled away
I remember the letter wrinkled in my hand
"I'll love you always" filled my eyes
I remember a night we walked along the Seine
riding on the Metro
I remember a feeling coming over me
the soldier turned, then looked away
I remember hating you for loving me
riding on the Metro
I'm alone
sitting with my BROKEN glass
my four walls
follow me through my past
I was on a Paris train
I emerged in London rain
and you were waiting there
swimming through apologies(sorry)
I remember searching for the perfect words
I was hoping you might change your mind
I remember a soldier sleeping next to me
riding on the Metro
Only in your delusional mind.
Darkness, Darkness
Be my pillow
Take my head
And let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your deep
Darkness, Darkness
Hide my yearning
For the things I cannot be
Keep my mind from constant turning
Toward the things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see
Darkness, darkness,
Long and lonesome,
Ease the day that brings me pain.
I have felt the edge of sadness,
I have known the depth of fear.
Darkness, darkness, be my blanket,
Cover me with the endless night,
Take away, take away the pain of knowing,
Fill the emptiness of right now,
Emptiness of right now, now, now
Emptiness of ri-ight now.
Darkness, darkness, be my pillow,
Take my hand, and let me sleep.
In the coolness of your shadow,
In the silence, the silence of your deep.
Darkness, darkness, be my blanket,
Cover me with the endless night,
Take away, take away the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now,
Emptiness of right now now now
Emptiness of right....
Oh yeah Oh yeah
Emptiness, emptiness
Oh yeah
If you think it's all a game, you lose.
