Willie the Groundskeeper (right) first uttered the phrase "Cheese-eating surrender monkeys" on The Simpsons.

"Heat" and "Ronin" should be packaged together in a DVD 2-pack.
I'd buy it.

Vanilla Ice had a short but very successful career. He had maybe 4 or more songs that went somewhere on the charts. He was better than a one hit wonder.
He also was very good with the money and was one of the few that grew his wealth and still has money today.
He tried puck type rock and races motorcycles professionally.
I wouldn't want a cd of his now, but in his time he was a decent performer and popular.
He got black listed by rappers for not being from the ghetto and of course for being a white guy doing rap.
Somehow they got that into the views of the buying audience, and from there he was effectively ruined as a performer.

When I was fifteen years old I went to a T.V. show recording of Adam Ant, who sang "Stand and Deliver".
A lot of the early/mid 80's Blitz/New Wave was great music. It was quite upbeat, innocent and fun, in contrast to a lot of the nihilistic, dark music that became popular with the youth of the 90's and today. P.S. A Flock of Seagulls was not a Persian band. "I ran, I ran so far away...Couldn't get away."

I believe you are confusing the potato with the cucumber in Spinal Tap.
Now that was a hilarious satire on the "rock" culture.

Is he smuggling a baked potato in those "pants?"(that would be the male equivalent of a "cameltoe")

I'm aware of that famous, foil-covered cucumber. But a baked potato is shorter and more, well, malleable.
(You forced me to say it...)

I'm thinkin' Adam Ant is no Longer Ready For Prime Time. "So un-un-plug the jukebox
And do us all a favour
That musics lost its taste
So try another flavour -
Antmusic"

Actually, he was criticized by rappers because Vanilla Ice claimed he grew up in the ghetto's(I actually saw an interview where he stated this), when in fact he grew up without want in a nice neighborhood.
He also stole a line from the song, "Under Pressure" featuring David Bowie and Freddie Mercury without giving recognition to the song or artists.
That is why he lost credibility. Although he could sing and dance, Vanilla was a "wanna be."

Struth!!!!!!!
The guy on the right actually looks normal by comparison.
They probably don't realize that the bargain bins where their CDs ultimately resided found a home in the collections of gay heavy metal, Barbarella fans.
Word to the wise Conan the Barbarian and Tarzan are fictional characters.
Just say no to steroids and poppers.

That makes sense to me, and wasn't he hung over some balcony by some other thug trying to get money from him as well?

"Antmusic" is one of the top twenty dance songs of the 80's. It is a guaranteed dance floor filler.
Other excellent songs of the era are :
To Cut a Long Story Short - Spandau Ballet
Fade to Grey - Visage
Vienna - Ultravox
Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Planet Earth - Duran Duran
I Ran - Flock of Seagulls
Blue Monday - New Order
Rock the Casbah - The Clash
Just Can't Get Enough - Depeche Mode
99 Luftballoons - Nena
