The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I guess it was easier for him to move than you, what with the horses and all...

Yeah - It would have been quite a sight seeing me show up at his place with my entourage, seein' as how he was in a basement apt.

Paul Tibbets told me the same thing one time.

Nope. I mean...if you're going to use equipment of any kind you need to at least know how to take care of it. It couldn't be worse than cleaning a graphite furnace. :)

Want to build a chicken run. For 4 meat chickens. Just to put them in while I'm not home. That way they'd have access to the grass, sun and fresh air and still be able to go into the coop.

They need 4 square feet of run per bird.

In case I find this small scale meat chicken raising thing to be do-able.

I haven't played anything since I was married ;~D

When ecurbh and I were online courtin' we'd go play backgammon, because it had the private chat space...

That would be a good start. We had a lot of different things for yall to try but there PLENTY more variety of guns out there. Certainly a .22 and a revolver are a nice start though. I still need me a revolver. My hand guns were all on the larger & heavier side of average. There are a great many autos that are lighter than even those .22s. in-fact they make lighter versions of that model also. My two are some of the heavier flavors. 22 pistols get even more fun when you have cans or clay pigeons to shoot at.
