The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yes but you know how to judge dresses on how much ninjitsu can be done in them, right?
To: Corin Stormhands
He suffered a worser fate.
Death by flip-flop.

Wedding dresses, not much can be done to help. I did convince her to let the bridesmaids wear something decent, nice two-pieces with plenty of leg room.
If the bride's attacked she can smother 'em with her train.

His eyes are creeepy! Like he's undead or something.
And he's a bit whiny. But I like some of his movies very much. "Family Man", for instance.

Just some regular run-of-the-mill Walgreens $3.99 flip-flops. Nothing fancy or too ~powerful~.
And Jen, I think his eyes are the most interesting of his features. But I don't find them creepy, just....
Hypnotic.

I know what you mean, Corin. But after reading "The Cholestrol Myths" that Li'l Freeper recommended, I just don't care much about the number anymore. Cholestrol is so over-hyped by the media that doctors pretty much have to recommend it or they are facing malpractice suits if they don't prescribe it to their "high-risk" patients. I just told our doctor I tried it, didn't like the side-effects, and I wasn't going that route again. She wasn't happy, but didn't "fire" me as a patient!!
To: osagebowman; Lil'freeper
I haven't bought the book yet. I need to.
I don't know if you saw, but I stopped both the cholesterol meds AND the meds for the acid reflux that was being caused by the cholesterol meds.
And, I found out that while my insurance won't let me declare an osteopath my Primary Care Physician, I no longer have to HAVE a PCP. So I'm lookin' around.

You like him, you can keep him! Blond and blue isn't usually a combo that does it for me anyway. There are exceptions. And he's not always blond, either, I know.
I'm sure he's not undead. Or creepy. But I don't like hypnosis either.

Overstock.com still has "The Cholesterol Myths" for $13.21 +$1.40 for shipping.
I saw you had given up the meds, and I was glad. It's simply unacceptable to me to take one medication for a symptom, and then another for the side effects! LSA
To: RMDupree
That's creepy. Not undead, but creepy.

Say, that's a funny 80's movie you could rent... "Raising Arizona".
Hilarious, in a bizarre, nearly-surreal way.
Oh, good evening.

It's supposed to be brooding and mysterious, but yeah,he does have a serial killer air about him in that pic.
