Afternoon ALL - well, Rosie, to find 'gunfriends' one should "Get Thee to the Nearest Range" :=)
Address of same is generally available at the bulletin board at the local gunshop. I would think your city would have one, there are several in the much larger city to the south.
Most ranges have introductory firearms or shooting classes, some specifically for women. The local one we went to today has them and better still for OT and LSA, Wednesday is "Ladies Day" at the range, no range fees for Lady Shooters.
With regard to our bi-state minishootmoot both OT and LSA did well, .22's were mostly used today though LSA rented a Ruger GP-100 .38. The Webley did see a bit of action. I do like that old revolver, apparently others do as well. :-)
We had a great tour of and were quite taken with OT's SUNROOM. Afterwards, OT grilled burgers with the fixings, LSA's potato salad was excellent, and for desert OT's home made apple pie with ice cream. Hmmmmmmm.
Methinks a nap is in order now as the animals have been fed and they have sought their respective resting places.
*Sigh* Rain at Daytona.
Looked at TheBulletHole with my higher res monitor....the classes are 3 hours long and $75. It still doesn't tell you when they are or have a link to sign up. And shooting must "seize" by 8:45. These people need a proofreader.
Evening OT - well, if it's raining in Daytona, might as well make a gas run. :-)
Prufreeder? you think sew? Maybe you just call them? Don't know. Still worth looking into I would think. Seems a bit pricey though.
Heh. Still haven't started yet. Might as well put on a pot of coffee.
Guess I'll surf around and see if there's something cheaper.
heh - sounds like good ideas on both counts. We're taking Gypsygirl for her constitutional.
BBL
They're taking the covers off the cars. Hmmmm.....Guinness or ice cream?
Always ice cream.
On movie 3 today. This one looks really bad, in a good way. Have successfully written 3500 words today. Writing is fun!
How 'bout a Guinness/ice cream float?....Naaahhhh.
Race should start up in the next 10 or 15 minutes. Hope I'm awake at the end.
Neighbors are shooting off firecrackers.
heh... thekidz jest got done shootin' off a couplethreedozen bottle rockets... we gottabout a gross left from last year we got from a friend...
only got about a pint of blackberries today... huckleberries were a complete bust, even tho I seen a few bushes that were loaded earlier in the week... lotta bushes are dry... berries looked like raisins...
went swimmin', rested in the heat of the day, then thekidz broke out thebikes... they're bathin' now... time fer an adult beverage...
Well I've had the ice cream...time for the Guinness. The race is fixin' to start and Rumsfeld is the marshal (he gets to say "start your engines.")
we had the blackberries we found tuhday on homemade vanilla icecream...
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....guiness...
shouldn't you be doin' an Irish Car Bomb or twelve?...
Our of Irish Cream.
GGrrrr.....water problem in turn 2.
"Out" of Irish Cream.
Maybe I shouldn't be drinking the Guinness...
Mmm. Wine and artichokes. Mmm.
maybe you should just be drinkin' scotch and fergit the typin'...
Evening G'nad - so far only a few noisemakers 'round here. This town settles down nicely over holiday weekends. Expecting more noisemakers tomorrow and the next day.
Didn't get too warm today but heading back up tomorrow.
Did a bit of gardening, just about all the daylilies we transplanted are blooming; several spiders, harlequins, and drwarfs (did I say that? :-). Roseofsharon starting to bloom.
Can't believe the year is half over. Wow.
Gag! I don't like scotch.
where's that projectile vomitin' gif?... I gotta find it... brb
Well, we're ready for homemade brownies and milk.
Enjoy the race.
