The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Glad to hear you can make it Saturday, LSA will be joining the festivities. She plans on bringing Gypsygirl up for the day.

Saturday is actually the best day to come up anyway, most activities are scheduled for that day. The 'Ferret' will be grilling up his HDFH again, we'll try to snag us a couple. hmmmm.

Hehehehe...

I think I've got Return of the Whitefly going on. At least no aphids that I've seen.

Did you put more dirt on those 'maters?

I bought more dirt and manure last night. Ran out of daylight. I'll get it on them tonight.

Sounds good.

The 'maters I'v got in the raised bed are doing lots better than the ones I've got in pots. Need to stake 'em.

Where around here can I get some old tobacco sticks?

I built a frame for the 'maters, beans and cucumbers out of pvc pipe and plastic chicken wire.

Nayber lady laughed at it. I wanted to say "then put yer d@mn fence back up."

I'm waiting to hear from HGTV that I won the $100,000 backyard makeover. I want to spent about $90,000 of it on a privacy fence.

Heavy duty lawn safe?

Lawn armor?

Or just fitting it out with electric shock equipment?

Of course not... It was Credence Clearwater Revival that did "Grapevine"

Nah. I'm just thinking about 40 ft. tall will mean they can't see me anywhere from their property.

'course it'll need drains on the bottom.

Make it slope outward slightly. Makes it harder to climb. And maybe imbed some broken glass on the top.
