Check in when you can.
That's why I always weigh myself first thing in the morning - hydration should be pretty standard.
I have to find a goal for myself! I admire your triathalon thing, it's great to set a goal like that and go for it. Maybe I should just aim for "getting home on a hot afternoon in less than 50 minutes" to start.
Back. Rode west on the Spring Park Trail, but not all the far...my hands started bothering me again. I need to change the way I grip or get gloves like I useta have or both.
Still, not a bad ride. I'm hot. And need coffee. Wisht I could make ice coffee instantly, but it doesn't work that way.
I missed that! (Yer not supposed to fight in sunday school.....)
Heh...I got in fight with a psychotherapist in my class. Gosh, Bear...when did that happen?
Hey, that was over an hour... not too bad.
LOL! You're too precious!
That's what the religion forum is for.
That side of the trail is BEAUTIFUL. Lots of water...ducks (insteada nasty geese), woods...and the mountains up ahead. We should ride it some weekend. Could bring a lunch and go a long way...stop when we get tired. It's pretty level, and not too horrible to ride.
Did have a momentary freak-out, though. For some reason, maybe because it's so green and there are lots of other people out enjoying the day - and 'cause we've got that red earth here - for a brief second I thought I was in Germany. Passed an old couple, and right after I realized they'd been speaking English, and it snapped me back to the present. I dunno that that's ever happened to me before. It was weird.
To easy! You will be doing that before you know it. Pick something like. Biking 25 miles or something like that. Make it a stretch so it has plenty of meaning and you don't feel like you can slack off in the training for it. Since I am worried about even finishing the tri I can't afford to slack off even one day. I am lazy enough that it would be sooo easy to convince myself 'just one day would not hurt'. I think I HAVE to sign up for another tri after this just so I have a reason to keep training. Also make the goal something you DO not something that just happens. Weightless is not something you can directly control so it is a bad goal. Make the goal something you DO and the weight thing just happens along the way. You might try something like the running plan I have been using. Walk/run for a half hour every day. Start with 29.5 min of walking and just 30 seconds or a minute of running and kick it up just a small amount each time. Alternately you can bike for a set time. Does not matter how far you get, just bike 'out' for half the time you set and then come back the same way. Bump the time up a little each time. Bike computers are only like 20 bucks so you might get one to track a biking goal. I am just tossing stuff out. I have a very poor track record for staying in shape. Then again I have never signed up for a competition like this. For this one my only goal is completing it. Next time I might think about time. Just think, you are already biking 7 miles a day. That is 1/6 of the sprint length triathlon right there (1/2 the biking part).
There's a reason they call it the Religion Ghetto.
Gang warfare is rampant.
*shudder*
I go there for articles sometimes, but even reading comments from my own "gang" makes me angry, so I try to avoid that, 'cept for the few rational posters.
Ohhhkay. And I'm living with you? That's scary.
We'll see about the trail... maybe when it cools down a little. That'd be fun.
Tesseract? You did not see any green haird girls driving giant robots did you?
On my bike I did both. New grips and gloves for longer rides.
It was only momentary. Kinda like those moments when you wake up and are surprised to find yourself in your current room instead of some other house or place. Surely everyone's had *that* feeling?
Other house you've lived in, I mean. Not a strange place.
Mmm... yeah... once I lose some weight, walking/running might be possible again. It's just too hard on my feet. Always has been. It's a real pain, not being able to just walk. Half an hour I can do, but not with running in there. Yet.
Biking's fun, though I'm scared to think how long it'd take me to go 25 miles right now! In the morning I could see going five or so, but once it gets hot just the trip home is ridiculously tough.
Brew it tripple strength and then dump it in a blender full of ice?
No....
Though...if it really HAD been Germany, I might have at least seen green haired girls.
They had a strange sense of style, leastways when I was there.
