I'm gonna have to give the F and L movie another chance. I didn't think it did justice to the book when I saw it before. But maybe I was under the 'fluence at the time. I can't remember. :-)

It amazes me to see how many threads can turn into illegal immigration fights - even when the thread has NOTHING to do with immigration.
Maybe we should go start a willy wonka thread and see if we can bring out the anti-loompa crowd... :-)

Wasn't the really old one - I've seen that. It's one made in the early 90s, with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche. I might have been more impressed if I hadn't JUST read the books...but I was noticing every discrepency. Wasn't bad, but...
Now I'm gonna read for a bit and go to bed early. I suppose tomorrow is way too soon to hear anything back on that job. *sigh*
