So that's why Jimmy Spencer and lately Tony Stewart don't win in Nascar? I thought they just sucked. Now I know that they are fat asses who suck.

What bugs be about the whole Danica thing is how the press has such a boner over her. I don't remember all this press for Lynn St. James or Sarah Fisher. Probably because they weren't as nice to look at.

Though, I admit she is a much better driver.

OK, the Ann Coutler rule must apply to all Danicia Patrick threads. Someone please start posting the pictures. Of Patrick, that is.

Sounds more like he's apologizing for being caught being a dumb-ass.

I don't care for Robby Gordon, but he's right. A lighter drive has an advantage.

In Nascar the packages (driver, car, fuel) weight the same.

IRL does not adjust for driver weight.

A lighter car will accelerate faster, hug turns better, and get better mileage.

Even a tiny bit helps over a 500 mile race.

Still, Danica is a very impressive driver.

He does sound like a crybaby, but the truth is even 50lbs makes a difference when lap times are measured to .001ths
Odds are it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things with all the yellows and pit stops and other things that happen in the race, but why add any more vagaries.
She did well, and it would be good to add a few lbs to the car so that a guy like this can't whine. It also might get more of the NASCAR guys to show up.

Far be it from me to miss a chance to bash Robby Gordon, but it seems to me that he went out of his way to clarify his remarks and compliment Patrick's performance. Robby gets a free pass from me the next time he acts like a jerk -- but it's just one, Robby.

Good grief... I can't imagine weight difference makes that much difference in a race car.... what a whiner!

I think it's unfair that Shaquille O'Neal is taller than me. I refuse to play in the NBA until some kind of adjustment is made.

"It makes a big difference," race-winner Dan Wheldon said Tuesday. "If it didn't in qualifying, you wouldn't worry about the fuel. We try to make it basically run out during qualifying, and that's what a difference of six or seven pounds makes. I definitely think it's an advantage and I'm pretty sure in due time you'll have a rule change on that."

Of course it makes a big difference. Those that would dispute this just don't know what they are talking about.
