This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
LOL it's not a hobb, it's a hob and that translated means stove top! LOL LOL LOL : ) You know, the camper type that has 2 or 3 rings for you to boil the kettle on for a cup of tea! : ) ROFLHO
I still need to check out American riding but maybe they are referring to riding with western saddles?
As for the horse wagon, that is the common way to transport horses. My friend had one, they have sleeper bunks, stove and toilet in the front half, cosy!
Yeah right! Who in their right mind is gonna wanna be around some goob who carries poisonous snakes around in buckets?!
There's a lot of good material for you here, tonight:')
"Hmmmmm, let me see...Venus Flytraps...yeah, we could put them right between the Deep Woods Off and the Sevin Dust over there..."
Oh well. I guess we best not be sitting on the hob!
You might get more than you bargained for if you did! LOL
LOL!!! Might get kinda embarassing...and a little hot too. ;o)
Yeah right! BTW do you like spiders? : )
{ain't you the sneaky one!}
Drat and double drat. : )
What're you trying to link us to Sharn, Fort Knox?!
I had a good pic there : (
Well, I met a lady once from the Fish and Game Dept that might be the perfect match for him.
There was a big ol' rattler hanging around my new colt's pasture. With a garden hoe I convinced it to get into a garbage can for a ride to my barn. There it was moved into a small portable wire cage.
A call to the Fish and Game Dept as to what to do with the snake was answered by, we want it for our live snake display. So a lady Game Warden came by, placed the cage in the floor of her truck and drove off. Everyone was happy and the snake gets to live a long life.
See, there are ladies out there that are not afraid of snakes...........
I see that. Not the picture, the link properties. Trying to get me with spider pics aintcha. Not gonna work. I like feeding spiders. I think they're cool. You better be nice or I'll be posting some more snake pictures... ;o)
Around here she would have had to sew his head back on first.
Well um, it's like this see, ...um....u said you liked spiders? So um........ a nice pic????? GULP! : D
ROFLHO I now have smirnoff all OVER the computer screen! LOL That was so good and unexpected! Made my day!
Well I'm not particularly afraid of them, especially the non-poisonous ones, I just have a healthy respect for the dangerous ones. I used to like to play with garter snakes and green snakes and frogs and lizards when I was a little girl. Mama always said I shoulda been a boy. She has a picture of me when I was 3 yrs old and we were down in Florida at that tourist trap called Silver Springs and the man at the reptile show had put a 6ft boa constrictor around my neck. It was so big it drug the ground on both sides. It was cool! So I guess I was warped at an early age.
