I never saw the movie, but I love all the Elton John songs. He was so wonderful in the 70's - his voice, his grand piano (not those dinky keyboards he played in the 90's). Loved him!

Dirndle skirts were earlier than the '70s as I recall. My mother liked the things.

The Ramones actually let future members of the Clash and the Sex Pistols in to their shows for free, and in the process helped inspire British punk.

Punk may be considered British by many, but without the Ramones, it never would have left New York City.
