"How can you overlook it when every major city has a rock station jamming it down your throat 24-7?"Oh I know, I know................but then again, there's a reason for it.
That was rock. I don't know what they call the crap on the radio today, but it isn't "rock". Kids LOVE the rock from the '60's and '70's; ever wonder why?
So yeah, my bitch with classic rock radio is the fact that they recycle the SAME damned songs over and over and over.......yet there is huge catalog of terrific material untapped by these formulaic morons.

Anyone mention Carole King?
You've got to get up every morning,
with a smile on your face,
and show the world
all the love in your heart.

Then you would have liked Maddy Pryor of Steeleye Span.
They opened for Tull.
On a backlite stage she would dance around in a white peasant dress.

"Don't Give up on us Baby" by David Soul If I can live down the stuff on The Kids from C.A.P.E.R., then I should be able to live down the admission that I had BOTH of David Soul's albums ... and saw him live in concert as well.

I remember when my parents painted the upstairs level of our house "Aztec gold." The downstairs had very thick forest green shag carpeting... the strands must have been two inches long. You had to rake it as well as vacuum...

Well I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison, and I went to pick her up in the rain.
But before I could get to the station in my pick up truck, she got run over by a damned ole train.
So I'll hang around as long as you will let me, And I never minded standin' in the rain. You don't have to call me Darlin', Darlin. You Never Even Call Me By My Name

Loved Harry Chapin. Saw him at the Southeast Music Hall in Atlanta. I would have gone anywhere with him if he'd asked me!
