I was shocked that the Classic Rock station here in Northern NJ gets Nights with Alice Cooper. He gets some great guests and plays some wild music. And, it is 5 hours a night. I saw him last year, and he was still rocking hard after all these years. He sounded great. he is 57 now, and time has not taken a toll on his voice.

Don't forget the Bicentennial Coming soon after Watergate, it gave our nation something to at least be proud of.

It was not one of my favorites from Alice. But on a whole it is still better than a lot of the stuff being produced today. I guess if I look at it from your point of view, I would cringe too.

Something else bad happened in the '70's: The Beatles broke up. Something good happened in the '70's: the safe return of the crew of Apollo 13. BTW, The Beatles announced their breakup the same day Apollo 13 launched. A strange galactic occurrence.

Yeah, and my grandma made me watch the Lawrence Welk show with her. That'll really damage a kid. That show was always on in my house. It was horrible. I did wonder where they got the bubble-blowing machines, though.
