Plants, and a note about children growing and nourishing them.

For Christmas I like to give votive candles in different scents.

With 3 kids we have to stay cheap. The kids can help with the plants, whether from seeds or cuttings, and it means more then.

One advantage (or maybe disadvantage) of being friends with the teacher's husband is I have a bit more knowlege of her likes and dislikes than other moms might.

But instead of that "inside info" being a help, I find it to actually be a bit of a hindrance.

When the kids were in grade school I had all the students complete a Teacher Journal done on specialty paper..10 fill in the blank form: I like Ms B because

,etc. Student picture was attached to individual page (cut class pictures) Purchased a nice Journal binder and glued individual pages and presented . It's amazing what kids say and think of their teachers.Remind them to say nice things. (I did it at lunch with bribe of Pizza Lunch)
