Hawaii Is World's Stand-In for 'Lost'

MOKULEIA, Hawaii --
As a band of jittery plane crash survivors huddle on an island hillside listening to a distress call that has looped through the airwaves for 16 years, one of them asks, "Where ARE we?" The answer: The Hawaiian island of Oahu.
The actors on the hit ABC show "Lost," which wraps up its debut season Wednesday, are of course free to enjoy Oahu. Their characters are miserably unaware of the civilization just off frame. But the fans know better -- particularly the ones who live on Oahu and proudly blurt out the true locations of flashback scenes set around the globe.

'Lost' ping!
The endings to these shows have really been extraordinary. Los Vegas and NCSI finals floored me. Was surprised how "involved" I was with the characters. After all, it's pretend.

Great show this week! Interesting article, too. I hope that new tax amendment (?something about no tax breaks for TV shows that film here?) I heard something about this week doesn't chase them out of state/country.
