Inconsistencies?Aside from the "real" Mom flub (and how did Luke know, since he might have assumed Leia's adoptive Mom was both their Mom), how come Vader never sensed the Force in Leia when he was torturing her, didn't sense it in Luke on the Death Star, but did above it. How come they didn't change Luke's last name-the family he was living with was named Owen, and Skywalker was a pretty famous name on Tattoine (and why hide him there-if they wanted him to be a Jedi-Yodas should have raised him-no childhood-and you know the trouble that causes.

I agree that Christianizing did a great job. I thought Portman did too. Remember, these kids are working with a George Lucas script.

As for your last point, two things. Vader didn't lose his memory. So at some level he knew he killed the woman he sold his soul for. Two, he came out of Mustafar as a quadriplegic, with severe burns over the remainder of his body. Plus, he winds up dependent on a life support system. While he may have the force, he may not have the strength (certainly not the mobility he had) before the duel with Kenobi-and Palpatine is probably a greast deal more powerful than we give him credit for. He killed three Jedi in 10 seconds, and the deal with Windu may have been a trap to sucker Anakin along. He also kicked Yoda's butt.

Good point about him (Vader) being weaker after the lava burns. Still he was not angry at Sidious at all, just angry. I would have expect him to at least fight with Sidious over Padme's death. I wondered why she looked pregnant at her funeral, that seems plausible, to make it looked like the baby (ies) died with her. Still, Vader not asking seemed weak in the story to me.

I was kind of diappointed that Yoda retreated so quickly. If he wasnt injured, you would think he would have battled the Sith Lord to the death.
