I was kind of diappointed that Yoda retreated so quickly. If he wasnt injured, you would think he would have battled the Sith Lord to the death.

Notice that Yoda fights Dooku to a draw (Clones). Skywalker beats the pi*s out of him, and cuts off both his hands. Palpatine goes up against four Jedi, and kills three in about 10 seconds. Whether or not Windu beat him, or he faked losing to sucker in Anakin is up for grabs, but basically, Yoda left because the jig was up. The Dark Side (at that point) was stronger (How many times did Palpatine sit in a room with how many Jedi, and not have ONE sense the dark side in him?) and smarter. Think about it. In the 20 years before they send in Luke, Yoda never even tried to challenge Vader. Hell, he didn't even try WITH Luke. He sent him off himself. Plan "B"? A woman with NO Jedi training.
