Absolutely. Charcoal (oak if you can get it--it burns hotter) grilling is much better than gas.

Exactly. When I'm doing some serious grilling, I go charcoal. When the friends and family are over, I do propane.
I'm seriously looking into a brick oven for pizzas, chickens, etc., but man, the cost. It's the add-ons that will kill you.
