Okay Freeper dudes and Freeperettes!

It has come to my attention that some folks around here would not mind meeting and socializing with other FReepers in Vegas!

So here's the Challenge! How many of you would want to go to Vegas?, one hotel for freepers and bring family, pets, whoever! to attend a Speaker (Conservative) Conference social weekend? or just a social?

We have some excellent planners around here! Pissant for one and some that shall remain nameless for the time being..

Okay seriously! post your opinions!

I have done a bus from Detroit to Bradenton..

It was awful.

I can imagine going from your home to Orlando would be as bad..

1) What are the room rates (single, double, etc.)
2) Depending on room rates and local interest (anyone else from Houston attending), may have interest in "bunking" up. (Note, non-smoking male posting this).
3) Is deposit required (and by what date)?
4) Reservation requirements?

Looks like I am going to go on this trip. Haven't been to Vegas in a long time. The timing is good (happens to fall in a "three paycheck month"). Combined with some recent good luck at Mohegan Sun on my last Boston trip, I have enough extra cash to try my luck with. Only a matter of getting a decent flight (not an issue) and a "bunk" mate to distribute some of the hotel costs (mild concern).

The rate is 209.00 a night...yes doubling up is a good idea! some already are, this room encompasses either a king Size bed or 2 doubles in the Main Tower and Italian Marble Bathrooms....

A few more silly logistical questions.

1) What days will the "events" take place? I suspect that FR events will be Saturday, but will anything be planned for Friday and/or Sunday? This is needed more for airline information that anything else.

2) Some people from Houston may be interested and I suspect those that go might bring their "squeeze". I plan to attend without "squeeze", so if there are others who plan to go and need a bunk mate, keep the names handy.

We already did Vegas back in 2002 (FRIVA). We stayed at the Treasure Island Hotel (special rate for us: $99 a night)

I'm surprised that I'm the first on this thread to mention it :-)
