The DVD release of the animated Team America: World Police from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, will include an explicit sex scene that was removed from the original theatrical release in order to win an R rating. Home Media Retailing magazine reported on Friday that the two "originally included the extreme sex acts to distract the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) from other scenes." The ploy worked, it observed. Parker told the magazine that they had never intended to show the scenes, which feature puppets, in the film's original version, and when the DVD was being prepared, "Matt wanted to put them in, and I didn't want to put them in," Parker said. "We were making this decision at 4 [a.m.] on a Tuesday night, when we were finishing our last South Park before vacation. And finally I was like, 'All right, I'm tired.'"
Ping
America, F*&K YEAH!
Pearl Harbor Sucked...
I don't see how any act can be explicit when depicted by marionettes.
My wife and I have been waiting for this. Even if it's just more puppet sex.
Actually, my funniest movie of all time would have to be Armageddon. After five minutes my friend and I started "MST3K-ing" it and everyone around us joined in. My throat hurt I was laughing so hard.
Do you know the release date?
I took a quick peek at the site but could not find it. I want to send a copy to Iraq, but I have a serious deadline.
Tomorrow. What a great day. Team America on video and at 12:01 Star Wars Episode III: ROTS.
Favorite epsidoe: Girls Town, with Mamie Van Doren. Everytime she walked away from the camera, the 'bots would chorus "Gigaaaantorrrrrr".
The left has asked why is it that violence can be shown in films and not sex. Virtually none of the violence in movies is real. Those knives and bullets aren't really piercing skin and that blood is paint or colored kayro syrup.
Almost no sex scenes (apart from this one with puppets) are shot with fake prosthetic genitalia, breasts, or buttocks.
Thanks. The LT has a b"day soon, and I wanted to get him a copy in time. The last package took about 11 days to get there, so I think that I will have enough time.
Appreciate it. I saw the movie last Fall. It is the only film that I have seen in about 2 years now.

Well, then I guess you haven't seen this movie.
It's great, filthy but great. It makes so much fun of people we hate.
I actually got hubby to the theatre to see this. Sadly, some mistaken people were there with their school age children.
But, if you don't mind "adult" puppetry, it's funny as hell. Also, quite touching in parts, and scary, and just a great flick.
"After five minutes my friend and I started "MST3K-ing" it and everyone around us joined in."
That must have been so great!
The line that always SLAYS me in that episode is "Sam Peckinpah's 'Six Degrees of Separation'." But that's one of the best episodes, so there's not a bad line in the whole episode.
I usually HATE people talking in movies, but everyone around us was having a good time, so we kept going. When Paris was destroyed there was an instant of silence, then you heard my friend mumble "Good," and everyone around us broke up again, and we were off.
Sorta like this?
Today is the Day, the DVD is out!

I saw some screenshots of the deleted scene last night and you may be surprised - it's quite scatological. Although I will probably find the complete scene funny, I'm glad they left it out because it would have alienated a lot a viewers who would have liked the film otherwise.
