The 757 is the only Boeing Aircraft I have not been on and I want to know what I should expect out of this aircraft. It has a good track record from what I know and the Air Force now uses them, but the down part is I am taking USAir, just hope they are still around on Sunday.

First:
Are you "taking it" like hijacking or are you simply getting a ticket and riding on it?

I don't think they use
hydrogen any more, so
you will be alright!
To: Trueblackman
My biggest impression of the 757-200 was how quiet the engines were.

Well, in all probability you could expect an uneventful flight, with airline quality (e-eck!) refreshments served. Also the usual delays in getting on board and in getting out, unless your seat is close to the door.

Good jet.
Enjoy the flight.
See if you can get the Exit Row aisle or window seat (if in coach).

I hope you didn't buy a round trip ticket. It may not be honored after Saturday.........

The most important thing to know is there's no assigned seating on those planes despite what your boarding pass might say. Shove to the front of the line and get the seat right up front, the one with the steering wheel, and don't give it up no matter what.
(You didn't really think you wouldn't get at least one comment like that didja? Safe trip FRiend!)

With that plane, the route you are taking is probably the biggest variable with respect to determining how comfortable the ride will be. I've flown that plane many times--no problems. (And I HATE to fly.)

Good News, and Bad News
The 757 is a better plane than anything built in Euro-trash territory,
But US Scare-lines totally sucks, always did, always will!

Better yet, when you check in ask how much a First Class Upgrade will cost, FREE BOOZE!!!!!!!
Due to my obsession with Alaska Airlines Miles I will never have to sit in coach again!!

ZReally? I thought Southwest did that. . .not US Air.
(I fly American and haven't been on US Air for at least 8 or 9 years).

But US Scare-lines totally sucks, always did, always will!I fly 100,000+ per year on them. They are as "good" as any today except for perhaps Alaska (who still remembers how to treat a pasenger like some one more than a Greyhound rider)
