Betcha Jimmy bolted 'cause of Laura's medical condition. Good thing he left now.

Laura's a wonderful person and she deserves better. Much better.

If he bolted, then he is indeed scum. My gf has some health problems (diabetes) and I knew this when I met her. I could have bailed then. I am sure she hurts. Talk about kicking someone when they are down.

I agree. It would seem she would be the one to call it off until they find out how the breast cancer gets defeated.

Said that what she had to go through was more important than getting married. "He's a great guy, but....."

So could you discern if it's "off" or just "postponed"?

I didn't listen to the show, but I've been concerned since this was revealed that this is a very agressive cancer. There may be other details we don't know about that and she doesn't want to make public. I don't think anyone should jump to conclusions unless Laura herself reveals the reasons. I'm sorry to hear that she's had such a tough time of everything lately.

Are you sure he was the dumper and not the dumpee?

This is how you separate the wheat from the chaff.

What a dirtball. Its better she found out what a scumbag he was now, before later - after the wedding.

Dirtball. My wife is a breast cancer survivor and I'd rather loose my right arm than my wife.

you are right, This is a time not to lash out but respect this woman's privacy, and say a few prayers for her while we're at it.

Many of us will face this breast cancer drama in our own families. Will Laura have to receive chemo and radiation or just chemo or neither? Will Laura have to get reconstructive surgery (if a full or double masectomy). At least with so many healthy women chosing (unwisely in my opinion) to get breast implants, at least cancer victims should not feel too bad about getting reconstructive surgery except that it may have to be postponed till after certain treatments.

Yes, I just heard her say the cancer is gone and so is the fiance. Maybe she's better off rid of him, but I feel bad for her that he wasn't the person she obviously thought he was.

So far, she's said she faces radiation, but not chemo.

Well, when I heard that she hadn't had a mammogram in three years, I thought exactly the same thing. Her lymph nodes were also removed, which is not a good sign either.

Kneejerk reaction on your part. How do you know he's the one who called it off? Sometimes people who become sick need to concentrate on their own lives and well-being.
