K.D. Lang, Mellisa Ethridge are some of my favored music choices because of their awesome voice and talent, not what they're doing in their private life.
First class musical performance, arrangement and quality are the criteria to judge a "real" performer.
Food for taught...does anyone know/listened to Klaus Nomi, and if "yes", what it is particular with this performer?!

Too bad he didn't wait until AFTER Dallas to get married! He'll never know what he's missing! (my husband is perfectly fine with this.)
