Yes, I'm going to Colorado, but no, I'm not looking for racing there. I'm bringing Tyler back with me. Gotta keep him entertained, ya know.

I've been to Pikes Peak Speedway.
When??? That's about half way...
In Thingie Blue?
LOL! Nope....white, which just happens to be my favorite car color. It's a really nice car. Not even close to the minivan I was looking for, but I guess I can live with that. I would have it paid off in less than 2 years, so I can always get another one. It's no smaller than the one I have. I just wanted a van for when I have to transport kids. 4 kids in a sedan is a tight fit, but usually I don't have that many at a time. Well, okay, a van would be nice for when I have to move something, too...or tow something. This car would just be nice for driving around, but I do a LOT of just driving around. It would be a great car for all these winding mountain roads.
Grrrrrr.
I might have to get one of them car DVD player thingies for Tyler so he can bring all his Star Wars and Jurassic Park movies along. Between that and his Game Boy, that should keep him busy on the drive.
The Harry Potter books on tape are excellent too.
Blah....I don't like Harry Potter. Pretty lame and puny next to Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.
Does Tyler like it?
Not like he does Star Wars and Jurassic Park. He will watch those over and over again.
Birdsitting, sounds like fun.
I wonder if you can get the Jurassic Park book on tape? I think Tyler might be amazed at how much richer the entire book is when compaired to its pale shadow on a small screen.
Of course, if I watch your birds, you may find them chanting something strange at you in the middle of the night.
Cordis mallow, cordis sheekoo...
LOL! Can you make them chant the Grackles away?
Hmmm....I'd be more inclined to get the Chronicles of Narnia on tape. I read Tyler The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when he was here at Christmas and he loved it. I was planning to do another installment this trip, but I had considered the audio book option for the road. The only problem is that it would probably put me to sleep....not a good thing with that far to drive.
Hmm, grackles..
If I teach your birds to go "Chack" the way the grackles do, they will get the grackles to go bonkers...
Actually, thinking of doing the 'birdseed dummy' thing.
Grackles won't go near people, but regular outdoorsy birds of the non-grackle persuasion can be conditioned to eat seed off of a trenchcoat wearing dummy.
Eventually a person can replace the dummy in the trenchcoat, and the birds won't really notice.
Except the grackles..
Yeah, for being the nasty, agressive bully birds they are with other birds, Grackles are absolute cowards when it comes to people. Usually, they'll fly off if I make a little ruckus. Many of the other birds don't even pay any attention. They're smart enough to know whose buying the bird food.
