Sony Online Entertainment today announced a contest to find a real-life version of "EverQuest II" heroine Antonia Bayle, Queen of Qeynos.
The competition, called "Quest for Antonia," encourages women (sorry, fellas) who think they look like the fetching brunette to send in pictures to the official contest Web site beginning May 17, just enough time to give potential entrants time to dye their hair and hit the gym for that only-in-games figure.
The contest will be co-sponsored by men's gadget monthly Stuff Magazine and culminate in Las Vegas on Aug. 13. Semi-finalists will be selected from the initial group through online voting, and five finalists will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Vegas courtesy of SOE and Stuff. A pageant-style event complete with swimsuit competition and an interview session ("Peace across Norrath" anyone?) will crown the winner at the Palms Hotel & Casino.
In addition to being the object of desire of every 20th-level dwarf online, the winner will receive a one-year modeling contract with SOE, a photo spread in Stuff and additional prizes.

The eyes and the mouth have me thinking Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia from Buffy/Angel).
I used to have a neighbor that looked like that. She worked at Cinn-a-bun
I was just doing your job for you. You guys usually do a pretty good job of picking up on the minor physical faults of women and tearing them to shreds, but you forgot this time!
Heck, I've been spelling it wrong all this time. Thanks!
Stay off the "Evercrack"!
I was the Bane of the Game masters for pulling pranks.
I got in big trouble for spamming the chat channels with the phrase:
"I did Firiona Vie before Aradune did."
That is Firiona with the Long Blond Hair and that is Aradune (A.K.A. Brad McQuaid the Creator of Everquest) in the black shirt.
I like a woman with some meat on her bones. No fake boobs and fake upper lip druggie chic types for me.
That's understandable. But it's not a question of having meat on her bones vs. being an emaciated druggie type. A woman can be rounded and have the right curves while her underlying musculature is in excellent shape.
They found someone who looks like Firiona Vie from EQ1. I'm sure they'll find an Antonia Bayle look-alike.
I can't wait.
