Even if this were true, what's the problem? Contestants are free to solicit advice from anyone. And the judges, once you get to the finals, don't control the results, the audience does. The judges' comments can affect voting, but 1) if Paula has a favorite, she's going to plug him regardless of any outside coaching, and 2) nobody listens to Paula anyway.

I've never watched the show.
That being said, I do know that viewers vote for the contestants.
Why do they need Paula and the other two guys if the viewers are the voters? All they really need is somebody in the Ed Sullivan mold. Introduce the act and get the hell out of the way.

Well, it looks like this is going to be a
very interesting week. If the ABC report is as “explosive” as they claim, and if it confirms at least
some of the allegations against Paula, then her judging days might be numbered. We'll see.
