I'm sorry you got sick. My own mom wouldn't come near me when I was there over the weekend, she just waved at me when I left.

My broadband ISP is on the fritz so I'm on dialup temporarily. I forgot how slooooooow dialup is.

I'm back on broadband. I yanked the connector hard and all of a sudden, broadband is back. (I'm rolling my eyes here.) Anything to avoid getting a technician here. That's why they pay me the big bucks....LOL.

David Corn really whined in his article today. It was annoying and irritating. President Bush has mentioned military personnel almost unceasingly and how much he appreciates them and is proud of them. Corn is such a wimp.

Usually it's the bride, but I remember one spectacular occasion where it was one of my frat brothers, who spent the entire day getting so plastered he could barely speak the vows. That marriage lasted all of two years...

At a family party a couple of months ago, we got on the subject of marriages not lasting. My brother had the stories of the evening. One of his friends got married, they had a wedding dinner and then left for their honeymooon in southern Utah. They got to St George (about 4 hours away) and she looked at him and said "I've just made the biggest mistake of my life. Let me out of the car." He tried to reason with her, but couldn't. So he stopped and let her out of the car. Never saw her again. Got an annulment. The other story was that the family, friends, and brides were waiting for the groom to show up at the altar. Only he never did. After 90 minutes or so, it was determined he wasn't in the building, so they started a search party. They found the poor guy hiding in a garage a couple of blocks and shaking. Needless to say, that marriage never happened.

Sheesh, the thread is dead, and I'm just thrilled to have Internet Access back. Broadband even. I'm wired from all the cold medicine I am taking. Wheezing is better, I feel rather crummy.

Work is rather interesting. The project I am on right now is 100% government project. All I can say is: Yikes. They are STILL changing their minds on what they want. I can't get data created fast enough to test what I need to test. I can't use their patient data because of HIPAA and privacy issues, so I get to create it. And then it changes. And the next day, it changes again. But by darn, we had better not slip. I'm just getting my courage up to tell my boss that I'm not going to make the deadling. 12 days for a new product just doesn't cut it.

And any other Florida residents. I am planning a trip to Florida to see a friend. They're in Orlando, so I'm going to fly there for a few days, and then my best friend and I are taking a cruise that starts in Miami. (Her husband doesn't want to go.) Isn't there a bus or something that goes from ORlando to Miami for cruisegoers? It is too expensive to fly and we don't want to drive.

Glad your daughter is feeling better, but too bad about you!

Take care and get better soon.

34 degrees. The high today will be 51. I'm tired of the dampness and chilly temps.

How are things there?

For cryin' out loud. They treat the runaway bride like a child.

Glenn Beck is right. Feminist's want equal rights....well as Glenn said....with that there should be equal wrongs. Can you imagine if this was a guy who pulled the runaway and called 911 to report a false report? Can you imagine the press being sympathetic?

Good morning!

Jemian and MozartLover, hope you feel better soon!

Seems Like I'm a little bit out of touch...

Anything else going on at FReeper General, or any place else???

kassie, how's your Mom?

I know you are probably tired of the damp and chilly temps, but I know the hot and humid temps for us are right around the corner! I am not looking forward to those at all.

I'm so sick of the run away bride news and jokes. She needs to be charged and sued to recover the money wasted while searching for her.

Mom got out of the hospital late last week. She is doing fairly well. Hard for her not to get discouraged. She is one that likes to go, and now she has been sidelined yet another time.

She is thinking she'll be homebound for a month or so.
Thanks for asking.

Hi (((lysie))). I know you're trying to stay warm, too....

Do you get the idea that the the judicial mess is going to get resolved next week when the Senate resumes after its recess??

Heard bits & pieces of this yesterday.

I haven't been able to keep up with that, lately. I hope it gets resolved. The last I heard, last week?, Frist was not going to back down.
