Oh, and staying on topic while warning of pesticides, don't handle you-know-what without washing. I'm told the skin in that vicinity has very high absorbtion qualities.

You've been watching CSI, haven't you. :-) Now, golfers have one more thing to worry about...

I also forgot to mention that some sand mixes have "natural ingredients" (organic fertilizer) included. I don't ask what creatures supplied it, maybe because I'd rather not know. Those mixes are used on greens, tees, divot repair, etc. So if that bothers anybody, just avoid those areas. [:)

G'nite y'all

Are these the same old ladies who were upset that pretty string bikini girls were selling beer to golfers during a charity golf tournament?

Hey, if such an event happened in Lubbock, I would have been there in a heartbeat.

Some folks complained because the course abuts a series of restaurants which have windows and patios that face the course. Imagine your daughter preparing to eat BBQ and seeing some dude whip-out his johnson and relieve himself. If they wanna piddle on the course, they should find some shrubs. The course is smack in the middle of a residential and commerial area.

perhaps the restaurants could allow the golfers to use their facilities.

Well, their facilities are open, but someone still had to walk over to them. This is what really has people miffed; there are restrooms on the course and the restaurants have no problem with th golfers using their bathrooms. These folks are just to lazy to use any of them - they just unzip and whiz where they stand. I'll have to find a pic of the course or a map thereof for ya.

The homepage for the Country Club http://www.lakeridgecc.com/premiergolf.asp?id=5&page=43 features some pics of the course. As you can see, there is plenty of vegetation behind which a golfer can hide while watering the course; these folks just don't want to walk the distance to water the lizard.

If they didn't drink so much beer, they wouldn't need to!

I like you philosophy and wish to subscribe to your newsletter! :-)

I like your idea regarding mixed groups. Also, coach Knight would probably strike enough fear into these guys that they would simply wet themselves.

Also, that is one helluva back yard. Have you visited the TTU campus recently? If not, you would be shocked by the changes.

Well, let me tell you that A LOT has changed in ten years. The amount of new construction on campus is impressive. The rec centre has nearly doubled in size, the United Spirit Arena is NBA quality, the Rawls Golf Course is quite nice, the new student housing is incredible and growing (full-fledged apartments), the new high-energy physics lab, the new English and Philosophy complex is huge, and the imporvements to the football stadium are just some of the new construction projects. Also, there is more expansion in the planning stages.

If you're not a golfer, you may not understand that relief in the woods is a time tested tradition that cannot be infringed upon.

And its bad for you to hold it...in.
