I thought this was a valid hypothesis about 15 years ago, but to cling to it in the face of current evidence is to deny the obvious. We have effective drugs to treat HIV now and when you knock peoples viral load back down to barely detectable levels their T-cells replenish themselves and they stop dying of AIDS.

Bad science kills, and these guys (Mbeki too) are partially responsible for the AIDS epidemic. They are much like the anti-medicine cabal that both the left and right wings contain.

All Duesberg has to do to prove his point is to receive an injection of pure HIV and show that he doesn't get AIDS. He has had over 20 years to do this. Similar experiments have been performed by scientists in the case of other diseases. Come to think of it, since you believe him, wouldn't you be willing to try the same experiment?

Another factor that shows the invalidity of the position of the Duesberg followers is that they are always arguing about experiments that took place at the time of the discovery of HIV. The particular sequence of events 20 years ago is irrelevant to the question of whether AIDS is caused by HIV.

What is interesting is that there have only been 65 teenage cases since 1983 in Canada. Also the 20 to 25 age group is very low too.

This is similar to the U.S. and does not fit an std.

Like America, people over 60 have as much 'AIDS'
(611 cases) as both teenagers AND 20-24 years olds combined (65 teen cases and 573 cases in the 20-24 group).
