Washin' the outside windows went pretty well today until I got to the ones exposed to both rain and sunshine.
Windex, and Windex Outdoor neither one would remove the yucky water spots that had built up. The only thing that worked after multiple trys was a single edge razor blade to scrape it off.
I am sure there must be some product to spray on or somthing to get these windows to pass inspection.
I, being a capitolist at heart, feels that I could have employed many of those "Migrants" that want to do the work that I do not want to do. But Mrs, not going for it.
(What no spell check in chat)
Try vinegar...it really works and leaves you smelling fresh as a salad or like a d**che bag.
Warm water, detergent, and elbow grease, honey...
I wash my Windows with Norton Utilities !!! ;-))
vinegar and lemon juice......that'll do the trick
I'm going to try it.
I thought about breaking them, puting in new ones and blaming the kids next door.
Cry me a river, you should try cleaning those 'storm windows' with their double glass panes. It's a real pain to remove the inside-the-house storm window panes to get to the middle part where numerous insects have gone to die.
Norton Utilies, never thought of that, ya think?
This is your chance to score one of those gas powered, high-pressure washers. (Insert Tim Allen grunts here.)
LOL--if the warm water, etc. didn't work, was going to suggest a pressure washer or water cannon.
I wish I had a honey to "do."
Lucky honey-holders!
...cry me a river..
Forgot to mention that we were 90 degrees here in Austin today. Shirley's Yorkies asked me take them into the house and to turn on the AC.
Sol-U-Mel.
You'll have to follow up with your Windex or some other window cleaner, but I betcha it takes the spots off.
Heh heh.
If they have to pass inspection tonight, though, try ammonia slightly diluted.
...if they have to pass inspection tonight..
They do, they did, not mine but hers. It could have been due to my hard days work, probably more to the blender of Margarita's I prepared for her before I helped her through her inspection. hehehe:)
LOL! You are a wise man, tex. :)
...wise man...
May have passed her inspection but not meet up to my quest to exceed excellence. (X Army Officer & a Tarus also)
The screens won't go back up till those spots are gone.
So it be said, so it be done.
I thank U guys for your help. I will suceed or blame it on the kid's next door.;)
Ah, I see. :)
Here, check this stuff out. It may help you, and it's a lot cheaper than replacing windows, heh heh. I use it all over my own home, and it's really awesome. Believe me, my own standards are somewhat on the exacting side as well, even though I'm just a former squid and a Scorpio, LOL!

Will check it out, thanks for the help.
