Take what Savage says with a grain of salt. There was a thread yesterday about how Savage is no longer welcome as a Fox contributor, and Savage was (of course) whining about it.

No offense meant, I like Savage, but you gotta think of his motives.

Too much time on Schaivo, Michael Jackson, and THE WORST coverage of the Pope's death and funeral combined. (Has there been any other news in the past 3 months?)

They seems to be getting a bit more on track lately.

I heard on Michael Savage...

Didn't have a reason to read beyond this.

Oh goody. When the ego is falling we must post a vanity as news.

Great job. Feel better now?

I think you're right churchill, Hannity's ratings were up while others were down.

Viewers are tired of the "Princess Di" approach to news coverage, beating a story to death,(no pun intended).

I'd be interested to see the facts about their ratings. I hope O'Reilly's show is the one taking the hit.

"and THE WORST coverage of the Pope's death and funeral combined."

Shrug I thought it was alright, I learned a lot about the whole process of electing a Pope. Maybe they dropped it a little too quickly after Ratzinger was elected, that's the only thing.

I agree about the other stuff, I switch between the big 3 and I see Michael Jackson on all of them. Life works in mysterious ways, hopefully people will get tired of it.

>>>instead, it was because of their blatant bias AGAINST Terri -- a bias that was noted by many freepers, some of whom said they were turning off Fox News because of the anti-Terri bias.

THAT one has my vote!!!!!

I dumped O'Reilly when he refused to "look out for" poor Terri. His incessant whining about all the "pinheads" in the Florida legal system who botch all the child welfare cases really rang hollow after he ignored the "legal" starvation of an innocent, child-like, brain damaged woman.

I also quit listening to Neal Boortz because I found it bizarre that a supposed libertarian like Neal was perfectly ok with big brother government having the power to starve Terri.

I think so. It came to me that something fishy was going on with Fox News. I was at Hospice Woodside and what Fox was reporting to the world didn't match what was actually occurring.

At night, I'd have to go home and respond to phone calls and correct all the misperceptions.

Orlando Salinas interviewd me ONCE and it was a great soundbite but since it was directed at Jeb Bush, they cut it out of future broadcasts. Jeb Bush gave a press conference right after I was on (according to a friend in the panhandle). She said, "It was so bizarre, you were on once saying "be careful who you vote for, this was part of Jeb's legacy that an innocent woman was murdered on his watch."

My friend said that right after that, Jeb gets on the airwaves and throws a presser together and was pale as a ghost. I think the Bush's tell Fox news what to do. I really do.

Re: ratings, what time periods are being compared? Perhaps a ratings decline is the result of the election season ending last November.
I recall Bill O'Reilly making some pro-Terri remarks.

Many reporters frequently rely on what other reporters are saying, instead of doing any digging into a story for themselves.
Such laziness can easily beget much spreading of erroneous information, e.g. the erroneous claim that Terri was in a persistent vegetative state.
I heard O'Reilly say that Terri couldn't feel pain-- laziness.

I am a huge Fox Fan. . .but began droppping a notch or two of my usual. . .mainly thanks to Michael Jackson ad nauseum coverage. . .

Was totally ticked; however, at Shepard's response to Terri's autopsy report; released just before his airtime. . .(he opened, offering that all was hype and it was a huge waste of time and money and apparently media coverage; and that the husband was 'right all along'); turned him off as well. . .

And now Natalee. . .it all is beginning to just be more than a viewer should have to endure. . .

ALSO sick of all those at FoxNews who still cannot say 'PRESIDENT BUSH'; but prefer MR. Bush or 'the President'. Even when I like the 'rest of their story'. With overkill on Jackson; find now, when irritated;. . .I am just willing to suffer less. . .and becoming more inclined to just turn itd off. . .

Given that I have sattellite radio so that I can listen to Fox News. . .my irritation has some 'volume'. ;^)

( They still are the 'best' however; but they are sounding more 'neutral'; perhaps in response to 'f & B' criticisim from MSM and the likes of Michael Moore et al. . .;all if which they should just ignore. . .but does not appear that are. . .

Preposterous.

I watch Fox all the time, and my house represents 65,000 households.
