I heard on Michael Savage, and read on kausfiles.com, that the latest ratings showed Fox News losing viewership in some recent months. A caller to Savage suggested it was because they spent too much time on Schiavo story.
I wonder whether, instead, it was because of their blatant bias AGAINST Terri -- a bias that was noted by many freepers, some of whom said they were turning off Fox News because of the anti-Terri bias. Only Sean Hannity took the "conservative," "traditional values" side of the argument, pointing out that Terri hadn't made it clear that she'd want to be put down, so the courts didn't have a right to have her killed.
Other Fox talking heads - "Shep," "the Leper-con"(Savage's term for O'Reilly, Kondrake, Gretta, you name them - seemed to come down on the side of the evil and incompetent Judge Greer. Or at least that seemed to be the way things were going when I stopped watching Fox News because of their bias against Terri. If Fox News is moving left - and they certainly did on the Terri issue - could THAT expalin the ratings decline?

They pissed me off. Especially O'Really.
No offense meant, I like Savage, but you gotta think of his motives.
Too much time on Schaivo, Michael Jackson, and THE WORST coverage of the Pope's death and funeral combined. (Has there been any other news in the past 3 months?)
They seems to be getting a bit more on track lately.
Point taken. But the alleged decline in Fox News ratings is a matter of fact, not Savage's opinion. Either a decline was reported or it wasn't.
Didn't have a reason to read beyond this.
All Jacko, all the time.
Savage is no longer on my welcome list. He gets unbearably weird at least weekly and sometimes daily. For the few good morsels that he comes up with, the listener has to sit through an awful lot of s_it.
Great job. Feel better now?
I am not a prude, but Michael Savage has lost me as a fan because he is so "crude"! There was a time when we listened to him every afternoon because of his conservative views. Her certainly has the verbal skills to use the language without being so gross.
He's okay, and entertaining in his own way but perhaps only to a small few. I can't listen to him anyway since he took himself off of XM a few months ago.
Sorry to disagree with the crowd but even Brit Hume took the side of Terri's parents when he pointed a really great question at Mort Kondracke. Mort was making the point that better testing should be done to see what if anything could be done. To that, Brit asked him at what point is life not worth living.
Mort stumbled and had a deer in the headlights look.
I like Mort, but I disagree with him on everything except defense. Okay, there I disagree with him a lot too. But I still like him.
I'd be interested to see the facts about their ratings. I hope O'Reilly's show is the one taking the hit.
Michael Savage can be absolutely brilliant when he's talking about life and literature. He offers pearls of wisdom - and illustrations from great writers, or from his own experiences in the hard-knocks academy - that a lot of people, especially young people starting out in life, could learn from. Yes, there's wierdness in between those pearls, but I keep listening so I won't miss the valuable stuff.
"and THE WORST coverage of the Pope's death and funeral combined."
Shrug I thought it was alright, I learned a lot about the whole process of electing a Pope. Maybe they dropped it a little too quickly after Ratzinger was elected, that's the only thing.
I agree about the other stuff, I switch between the big 3 and I see Michael Jackson on all of them. Life works in mysterious ways, hopefully people will get tired of it.
