But Hours Away the Drama of a Crowned Pope, and Can’t We All be Friars and Crusaders Now?

If my facts are right, the Pope is The Bishop of Rome and is the pap (“Father”) of the Roman Catholic Church, and is by the convention of now hundreds of Popes before him crowned the spiritual descendant of St Peter when elected by what is called the Sacred College of Cardinals. Of course, in the past, there have not always been elections per say, and in that succession from one former to the new Pope being predominantly by means of the decease of the former, there have been a few cases of questionable demise, such as the July 1304 demise of Pope Benedict XI, gone after 9 months of wearing the triple crown by means of a plate of poisoned figs. No doubt a similar fate to our now newly elected Pope would rejoice the ugly souls of socialism and liberalism, but I will assure you that we are about to enjoy years of this wonderful Pope Benedict the XVIth, and by God this is good news for us all, conservatives included and especially, and I don’t even have to be a Catholic to feel like one, I just got this gut feeling he’s a real Pontiff by God whereby the worm is turning and let’s make the world hell for the liberals and kind of a good day for the rest of us, thank you!

In a few hours, he is Pope (Papa) Pontificate upon his coronation with the tiara, or triple crown, at St Peter's Basilica, Rome. Actually, I do not even know if they still crown him with the tiara, but by God I hope they still do and I hope they catch it on camera just to irk the fat Michael Moore’s of this world. The crown Tiara, Triregno and Triple Crown Triregnum, is three-tiered, I believe to represent his regency over the Three Worlds (Hell, Earth, and Heaven) (wow!), with earlier versions of a crown before the 1200’s when it went from "single tier" to "triple tier" or Triple Crown with Clement the Vth and thereafter until 1963 when it crowned the head of Pope Paul the VIth, though this was not the original one being that Pope Clement VII had the tiaras melted down in 1527 to raise the 400,000 ducats as ransom to be paid to the army of Emperor Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor. I never saw most recent Pope John Paul wear it, but I pray to God that this good Benedict the XVIth will put this crown on his head just to send a message to all those ugly souls that these are the times when Good Men must bring down the Hammer of God.

As Pontificate (and I think he is going to be a real Pontificate, we go into this new Century with a phenomenon that the Pope may actually enjoy real power, yes both of religious impact and political), I welcome this return to the Middle Ages by God, because the Islamic terrorists have brought back to us the Middle Ages and so why not the West crusade forward and give them a little bit of the Middle Ages right back? I’m ready.

Give the Pope the Power, by God, and who knows where this German’s real Capitol lay, Rome, or elsewhere, or many places at once it doesn’t matter … for the Pope Pontificate enjoyed extensive power during the 1000’s to the 1200’s AD, and though known as “the Roman Church”, from the 1300’s until the end of that Century the power of “the Roman Church” fell into French hands and for a time the headquarters of the Catholic Church was in Avignon (the French!). And if my history is correct, there were many schisms, and new Christian churches arose both in East and West and New World, including the Protestant denominations of Christianity, but 500 years after 1417 where during a time there were actually rival Popes both in Avignon and Rome, a commission of the Roman Catholic and Anglican churches agreed in 1982 that in any union between the two churches that the Pope would be “Universal Primate”. And, not being a Catholic myself, this Pope has got me so excited I can also see any union could be possible, between Catholic and Protestant, between Catholic and Mormon (by God, I could even see a Mormon President of the United States before this is over and by God I will welcome it --- why not? Mormonism is quintessentialy American and an American religion ... I believe it is time for a Mormon Presidnet) --- and even a union between Catholic and Conservatives everywhere. Who knows? . . . if the magic really rolls, by God there could even be a union between Catholic and the (reborn with a change of heart) Ku Klux Klan (the reformed branch).

I am not trying to be funny, though it is fun to see the legacy media and their hate for this new Pope, which makes me love him even more and more. I will not call him by his old name, in fact, I’ve already forgotten his old name, it doesn’t matter to me. To me, he is Benedict the Sixteenth. That is the only name I know him by, he has forsaken his own, his mother’s given, name, as in the tradition of many religions, and he is now Benedict. He will always be only Benedict to me, and I haven’t even gotten to know him well yet.

So let me see. Saint Peter was not only the First Pope, but the longest serving Pope being officiate for 35 years and was also known as “protector of Fishermen”, and revered as a patron saint by them.

In 570 AD, Muhammad was born and Pope Benedict the First was elected Pope Pontificate. And there were many Popes thereafter, and Pope Benedict IV becomes Pontiff in 900 AD and the same year Alfonso the III The Great of Castile begins the Christian reconquest of Muslim occupied Spain. In the same year 900 AD, the story “A Thousand and One Nights” takes authorship. In 1032, Pope Benedict IX reigns as Pontiff, but sells the Papacy for a large sum of money to another, then later reclaims the Papacy again for himself, ultimately being Pope three different times during his lifetime. There were many Pope Benedicts before him, and many after him, and most were good, and maybe one or two not so good, and now we have a Great Pope, with a Great Name, after St. Benedict.

Who is St. Benedict?

Well, this isn’t the forum for a history lesson, but I can tell you he was pretty Saintly, and during the dedication of the rebuilt Monastery Monte Cassino, Pope Paul the VIth proclaimed in 1964 that St. Benedict is “the principal and the heavenly patron of the Whole of Europe”. Not of Mexico. Not of South Africa. Of Europe. Very interesting. I think this is a very, very Good Omen, this new Pope. I have been very worried that the hordes of Islamic illegals and such were, and would, turn Europe into the next Mecca, but maybe this is the turn in history, by this Pope, for Europe, for Christendom. I mean, think about it. Iran may not even need to get the Bomb, if Europe goes Islam they get the Bomb as part of the package. So we better hope we see some kind of “revival” to turn the tide on the Mohammedan hordes.

No doubt, this Pope, who being a conservative is so shocking to the Legacy Media and the libs, will carry on the traditions of the Pope before him, and certainly will not lead a new Crusade against the Islamic terror. However, I wouldn’t mind it. In fact, I would like to see, just to raise the wrath of left-wing Cristophobes and their allies the Islamic terrorists and et all ABC, CBS, NBC everywhere, that the Temple of Solomon again be rebuild at it’s original Temple Site, the Mosque of the Rock in Jerusalem. We could move the Mosque a few hundred yards south, and then rebuild the Temple of Solomon and proclaim it again a Temple, a Synagogue, for all Jewish people everywhere. That, I would like to see … in my lifetime.

We live in an age of terror now. This is another reason, why this Pope was God’s perfect choice. In the 1950’s and into the 1960’s, I hated the Communists and feared the Nuke exploding S.F. to bits. Every 7 minutes a high-altitude plane, enemy or friendly, would be over head, ready to commence this to happen. And then, Reagan changed all that. But now, in my older age, again I fear we must worry about the Bomb again, that at anytime, and this be no joke, the terrorists come over the border of Mexico, the border which Bush will not protect, and assemble a nuclear weapon of mass destruction, even a nuclear bomb, in the basement of some house in L.A., rented out to some Arab types by illegal aliens from Mexico, and boom. Tens of thousands or more dead. In the early 60’s to talk of the planted bomb, would bring laughs perhaps, and even jail perhaps. But today, it probably, not only isn’t a joke, it will likely be the case because both political parties do not have the political will to stop it and to stop the hordes who invade our borders.

In a few hours a new Pope will be crowned. Despite the propaganda otherwise, Christianity has predominately been a religion of peace. The idea that God would enjoin at times Christian warfare took ground in the 11th Century when various tribes such as Germans and Normans and such were converted and assimilated their warrior traditions into “Church family”. Perhaps, it isn’t such a bad tradition. Times change. All things change, as they say.

Back in the 1960’s, I remember a song on the radio, called the Pride of Man. I heard it again, just the other day. The words, strangely, were more fitting for today, then back then.

PRIDE OF MAN

(made popular by the musicians Quicksilver Messenger Service 1967, emphasis in bold are mine)

Turn around, go back down, back the way you came
Can't you see that flash of fire
Ten times brighter than the day?
And behold a mighty city broken
. . . in the dust again!
Oh, God,
pride of man
. . . broken in the dust again

Turn around, go back down, back the way you came
Babylon is laid to waste, Egypt's buried in her grave
The mighty men are all beaten down
Their kings are fallen in the waste
Oh, God,
pride of man
. . . broken in the dust again!

Turn around, go back down, back the way you came
Terror is on every side, lo our leaders are dismayed
For those who place their faith in fire
In fire their faith shall be repaid
Oh, God, pride of man
. . . broken in the dust again!

Turn around, go back down, back the way you came
And shout a warning unto the nation
That the sword of God is raised
Yes, Babylon, that mighty city, rich in treasure, wide in fame
. . . broken in the dust again – yeah

(spoken)
And it shall cause your tower to fall
Make of you
a pyre of flame
Oh you, who dwell
on many waters
Rich in treasure,
wide in fame
You bow unto your
God of gold
Your pride of might
shall be your shame
For only God
can lead His people
Back
unto
the earth
again
Oh, God,
pride of man
. . . broken in the dust again!

(refrain)
A holy mountain!
Be restored! . . . Have mercy on the people . . . on the people . . . Lord

Hmmm…. Interesting song.

You know, I wonder what Jesus was doing, when he was twelve years old? I know what I was doing. But even at twelve, even at twelve, one can have a feel for the world, and concern, and awareness of the world. At twelve, many boys imagine it is possible to be heroes. Maybe today, we can all be heroes. Sometimes, the times call for all of us to be heroes. We may be in dark times. But this is just the right Pope, for these times. At least, we can be enthusiastic and believe so. So put that tiara on your head, Mr. Benedict the Sixteenth, and let the whole world see you wear it. The libs call you a conservative. Maybe you are. So let’s put that crown on your head. Why not? It would drive the libs nuts. So in the tradition of hundreds of years past, I say to you Pope Benedict the Sixteenth (excuse my English, for my Latin is poor) – “All you have desired, we joyfully allow and grant you by the authority from Almighty God and the Saints Peter and Paul, that you are our Highness proclaiming and spreading the Faith of Christ, we confer on you, on your Excellency for your merits, that you will be Crowned with this crown we give to you, that God protects you from any open and secret foes, and that it adorns you not with this earthly rule, but in the name of the crown of His heavenly kingdom” - . . . well, it may be a couple of thousand years old, but it still rings nice.

I believe in God, but as the years go by, I become more concerned about some aspects of religion mixed with politics. I believe government should be secular. I have great respect for my forefathers.

I had to read your FR page before I could understand the attempted sarcasm. You know some history, but do you know the history of Pope Benedict XV, that Pope whose name Ratzinger deliberately choose and what that implies?

And you shouldn't be so ham-handed in statements like this:

Yes, if "the magic really rolls" we can forge a union between Catholics and born-again KKKers under a Mormon presidency, and all that other nonsense.

Remember, when trying to make a point with satire, don't apply the satire like cement with a trowel. It doesn't work.
