I always thought Ouse was aniseed not licorice similar to the in drink in the UK in the 70s Pernod. Not over keen on either though but I love both licorice and aniseed sweets (candies) though.

Well .... you are correct. The anise seed reminds me of licorice.

I thought licorice was made from anise seeds?

I like Ouzo (sp) in small amounts. Not something I'd want to drink every week, just every now and then.
