They have some gatherings like that in the Worcester Diocese, but they are more young adult gatherings for both men and women. Sounds like a great place to meet possible mates!
There's a Christian businessmen and women's ministry here that has a session called "Spiritual Shots."
I read it in the name! :~D
I feel so much better since I know what I'm going to do...
Here's an idea...
I could bake a batch...just a small batch, maybe a couple dozen, cookies and send them to the guy that wrote me...tell him that my understanding is that they may be deployed soon...and to not forget to let me know if they do, so I can send the whole group cookies now and then.
What do you think? I know it's better than crying...but sometimes, I just gotta cry. LOL
Hi!
And don't cry. :)
"And don't cry. :)"
Well, I ain't makin' any promises!
I'm making a loaf of bread in my machine. Thought about your bread thread...this summer, I'm going to get back to the "art" of making bread...this is just so utilitarian.
Sounds like a plan, 2J. It's always better to DO than to cry!
I'm behind in planting again, but I hope to make major progress this weekend.
You know, in and around driving to DC for a funeral.
Woohooo!! You're garden is off and running! Literally!
I love fresh lettuce...
I'd think it would be best to have read the Silmarillion first in order to understand the parody. We started reading it once, and quit so we could read the trilogy before the movies came out. We'll have to pick it up again, then read the parody.
What's nice about growing your own lettuce is that you can pick it when it's early and vey tender. We used to grow oak leaf and ruby lettuce when we lived in Jersey and had a square foot garden. Made a lovely salad!
I've never read Silmarillion all the way through, either... I agree, the parody is probably not the place to start ;~D
We may get some 'maters in, but the tiny seed crops, lettuce, carrots, radishes, are too subject to the chickens.
We gotta figure something out...asg.
Woohoo! Shiny new thread!
heh heh heh...
