The Hobbit Hole XXI - ...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Same here. I hate it. It's the worst part of drinking this stuff. But I really do believe it's part of what's kept my cholesterol down below 200.

It also has calmed my nerves on some evenings when they were especially frayed.

I just wish they'd mail it to me in an unmarked package! LOL ('m sure they would, but it'd cost me a fortune...I pay only $6 and some change for my one bottle every other week or so.)

Ours doesn't. And not only that, it's against the law here in OK to have wine mailed to you!

I need to make a red zinfandel at about 16% alcohol.

That's what the study suggests for cholesterol lowering...

They had to shut the entire pool down.

Been there. Done that.

you needuh drive thru likker store... we gots 12 of 'em here...

mmmm....Brew Thru...

Although I don't think they sell the hard likker.

You can buy beer and wine here in grocery stores. 'Cept for everyone's favorite Richmond grocery store...Ukrops.

No beer. No wine. Not open on Sundays. They carry your groceries to the car.

They're a bit spendier than other grocery stores. But they've got 60% of the market in the area.

Just beer and wine coolers are sold in our grocery stores. I don't need either of those.

I did drink some non-alcoholic beer when I was expecting Joshua...man, I was craving that. And donuts. And cinnamon rolls and fresh baked bread! LOL

Same here, nothing but beer at the grocery store. And the shops are closed Sunday. It's still better than PA, where only state stores could sell likker - and hence the selection was lousy.

Have you tried buying wine in a box? Since you don't care about the quality, just the alcohol, seems like that might be the way to go.
