The Hobbit Hole XXI - ...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Having showered I'm going to wander down to the lobby and see what's cooking.

Vey exciting. My thoughts of spending another glorious day in the mountains reading has been foiled my some ferocious looking storm clouds. Harumph.

What Jen said - it's a beauteous day...

AGAIN woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I went to the seven-thirty Mass. Home now...thinking of going over to the coffee place for a cinnamon roll again. Hey, it's Sunday!

It's sunny here but a bit chilly. Can't decide whether to traverse the mud flats to do chicken on the grill later today. Think I'll do some plant related activities.

My wife's sister and her husband had passes to Kasey Kahne's pit for both races.

I haven't talked to him. I left for church before he and everyone else up, then he had to stay for practice. But wife said he said they had a good time.

Didn't care so much for the "after prom" event. They got bored.

Gotta go pick him up from practice and then take the tux back.

Hey guys, long time no see. Kinda off topic and I'm not sure if you've all ready talked about this (or if there is an alternate thread somewhere) - but who's exciting about Episode III opening next week? I'm not a huge fan of I and II but from what I've heard so far this could be a great movie.

Episode III of what?

Just kidding. I'll be seeing it at some point with a coworker, but I'm expecting nada. Zilch. Painful death to Jar-Jar, maybe.
