Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Will be interesting to see what happens to the research organizations like mine. Civilians aren't as tolerant about packing up and moving as the military families are. Lots of orgs are going to lose some series expertise because of this.
Have been out of the loop (to say the least) lately - what's the hellfire deal?
To: Lil'freeper
Oh... the missile was to take out yet another #3 guy in Zarkawi's group. He seems to have a problem with #3 guys.
To: Ramius
Hellfire'll do it. How long till no one wants to be the #3 guy anymore? :)

Significant event for me coming up.
One more comment after this one and my number of comments will be the same as my P.I.N. for my A.T.M. card!!!!
I think I'll have a diet coke to celebrate.

I just bought Bridget Jones. I'm in the mood for chick flicks. Will have to sneak it into the house when I get home. Muahahaa.

We watched a Philip K. Dick story-based movie called "Imposter" (I think there was a law passed back in 2000 that Hollywood must turn one of his stories into a movie every year) which was pretty good - I only guessed half the truth. Next we're going to watch "Primer" which I have heard is this year's "Memento".

Ha ha ha!!!
Well, Steve's pager hadn't gone off yet (it pages him when the required rainwater level is reached) but it's pouring and he was so anxious about it I suggested he go ahead and go in to the office and get ready to pour his dye. He's on call, because besides pouring his dye, he has to also do the tests his job normally requires if the proper level is reached. I told him he's gonna get that $1 an hour "on call" pay whether he's here or at the office and there's no sense pacing around here!
So he just left.
