The Hobbit Hole XXI - ...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Well, he SAYS he'll be done by August. I have everything on my body that can cross crossed.

I wrote him an email congratulating him and he wrote me back"

"You checked online?? It's like having my mother work at the school!"

Ha ha!!!

Hi Hair!

I'm visiting in the HH, checking up on Steve's grades, and chatting with Steve and my little brother via email.

And drinking coffee.

I just heard the school bus pick up the neighbor kids and my nice trash man picking up my trash.

My kids are still asleep and I'm enjoying the peace.

...thank you all for the greetings...a day off today, so I can cruise the "Hole" before heading to Seattle. Let the staff deal with the normal municipal craziness today!

But, Hey!, we're much better off than Spokane!

Can you imagine their poor person (I've talked to her) in my position in Spokane???

On Sunday, she had to come into the office and write a press release about where her boss masturbates!

That's a nightmare from the Twilight Zone.

Gads... what a nightmare. Maybe the only option is to up the ante on wierdness:

"Today's press conference will be conducted in the medium of interpretive dance..."

Um...I'm pretty sure we could do without an interpretive dance of what the bossman has been doing...

There isn't enough oil in Alaska to supply THAT dance.

Yes, but is there enough olive oil in Thailand?
