The Hobbit Hole XXI - ...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

That is really my biggest concern right now...with the spring storms starting...hail. You know the garage door doesn't open, so we just leave the car parked outside. I can't lift the garage door alone (it takes both me and Steve and it takes all we've got to get it open).

Couple of weeks ago when that bad storm went through, it hailed stones big as baseballs.

Do you feel like an errand?

My printer/fax just warned it was low on ink, and I think this is the second warning.

Well, - If - you do, and if you get this message before you leave, it's this cartridge... out of both the black and the color, and could really use a couple of each...

HP 14 Black Inkjet Cartridge for Select HP Printers

Sure. There's an Office Depot (or Office Max?) right across the freeway. What is the model number? Black, color or both?

Evening Hair - new thread, howbouthat.

The new Atlanta Cutlery, the folks that did the LOTR replica cutlery, has Orlando on the cover, with his Jbelin (?) sword, vey pricey $225 sword only, add $185 for scabbard and belt.

Evening OT - KCI is closed and they evacuated the tower even. Nothing down this way, which is fine by us.

To: Sam Cree; g'nad

Evening Gents - didn't get reply on the previous thread 'bout sewing. For knife sheaths and hunting/shooting pouches and a quiver, I've used artificial sinew and pair of needles, sewing a cross or X stitch across the holes. I think G'nad has seen my plains quiver up at MoJAM, cut all the fringe and did the sewing and lacing. It takes a long time to do but the results are worth it.
