The garbage, which has now appeared on three opi (opuses?) in recent weeks (coincidence? I think not), about the decline of civility on this forum. What a bunch of hooey. (Oh, my word, was I just engaging in the decline of civil discourse? My deepest apologies to all my FReeper brethren.)

Anyone who has been here more than a few months knows we have an occasional exodus (although I give GOPCap credit; he at least waited until the FReepathon was over) accompanied by chest-beating and ashed over the head. Then most of them come back, often under different screen names. And as far as the mood/civil discourse, this place is no different than the day I first stumbled upon it prior to the MFJ.

I'd said things are if anything it's more civil, more polite and more PC. After a good fight like the Terri figth the losers get sore and opus. I can't understand why, makes zero sense to me.

I seem to remember that, for a brief time at least, others were not so routinely accused of "falsities" or lies simply because one considered the opinions of others to be "hooey".

I, personally, see no point to such an announcement but others may believe that those remaining should be aware of the reasons for the decline of their little society.
