Rhode Island, alleged cop killer
Posted on 04/19/2005 10:53:27 AM PDT by yellowdoghunter
I have been a little out of the loop lately but I just seen pictures of the alleged cop killer in a rhode island courtroom. What the hell happened to his face? I am not excusing what he may or may not have done. (Yes, I know, he did kill that cop.) But this is way over the line, I could not believe what my eyes were seeing. I am disgusted by what I saw but maybe I don't have the whole story. Any Freeper insight is appreciated. And yes, I did search, look etc....I can never find anything on this board.

Providence stunned by cop's slaying By Jennifer Rosinski Monday, April 18, 2005 - Updated: 04:27 PM EST PROVIDENCE - A veteran detective dubbed ``the gentle giant'' was shot to death with his own gun early yesterday while interrogating a Boston man who police said jumped out a third-floor window only to injure himself and land back in custody.

This is the punk who shot the officer, crashed through a 3rd-floor window, landed on the street below, and was momentarily caught by police. His injuries came during his "struggle" with the officers.
Apparently the mouth guard is to protect people from the sight of his jaw/teeth, which are assumed to be in pretty rough shape.

He allegedly shot a cop then shot out a third story window and jumped. The cops found him soon after. What I want to know is did he take a beating before or after the hospital visit? The hospital said he was admitted for lacerations.

Police said Carpio, who was captured after a struggle a few blocks away, was treated at a hospital for injuries to his leg, arm and head. He had a head injury from the fall...that could cause swelling and major bruising in the face.

Well, he jumped out a third floor window, and then he resisted arrest, so it's not surprising he got banged up.

Some people just can't resist. If you don't know, then I am not asking you.

Will wait to hear more about this story. Right now it is hard to say if that fall could produce those type of injuries....hopefull we will find out soon.
Prayers for the deceased and family.

I wouldn' be surprised if a few Wood Shampoos were administered while he was resiting arrest.

Apparently the mouth guard is to protect people from the sight of his jaw/teeth, which are assumed to be in pretty rough shape.... I'll bet the mask thing is to keep him from spitting/biting on people. If he's got extensive facial/oral injuries, I'll bet his mouth is a bloody mess.
To: FrogInABlender
The mask is a spit shield. It is used for suspects who may spit blood or bite. This guy was not even under arrest when he grabbed the cop's gun and shot him. He then shot out a window and jumped 60 feet to escape. The cops stated that it took them several minutes to subdue him, once they caught him. He may well have taken a beating when they were arresting him.

The sub human wasn't under arrest but was in for questioning for alledgedly stabbing an 84 year old woman...quite a class act.

I think considering what he did,the police showed great restraint. A little "slap" on the wrist never hurt anyone.
To: yellowdoghunter
yellowdoghunter and all. I'd like to know how many people here would care if this actually was a case of police brutality. I mean frankly, it would be pretty hard to get those bruises on you're face from a that kind of fall and yet have no broken neck. I personally believe the man deserves the rope for his crime. So out of curiosity how many people would be that "appalled" if there was some police brutality.
P.S. this is my first time ever posting in a forum. Forgive me if I am too off topic. And I'm down w/ constructional criticism unless that's too off topic as well.
