I saw this Illini fan bumper sticker that was blue and gold and said "Muck Fichigan" on the Chicago tollway last Summer.

And she says, "I don't care. I've already got mine."
I just shook my head and sadly walked away. It's not like you hired her for her brains, anyway.

"not all people think alike".

So are you going to hire her again?

Get rid of her. There are plenty of cleaning ladies and services who will work for you who will be more respectful and less in-your-face than this woman.

I would have sent her packing after seeing the original bumper sticker.

Did you put your money where your mouth is and fire her ass?
If not, why not?
I know I would have sent her packing. She has The freedom of speech to display such bumper stickers, but you are also free to react to them.

So, tell her you no longer require her services, and hire someone else.

Your "true encounter today" happens to me almost everyday in MA.

I've seen one that goes like this:
BUllSHit.
There's a car around the local university that is literally covered in anti-Bush stickers. I mean on the sides, the roof, the hood, etc. I call it the Hatemobile.
Don't know who owns it, and I keep a camera in my car to take pictures of it when I see it again. It probably has every sticker mentioned in this thread. Plus some.

Employees....you can't live with them....you can't always fire them because you want to.
I've got a warehouse employee who's a pretty darned good worker. We gave him a raise from $10.00 to $12.00 per hour. He said he couldn't accept it because his medicare, medicade, foodstamps etc would be cut-off or restricted.
Can we fire him for that? I feel guilty keeping him around and on the public dole.
