VMWare pretty much rocks IMO. I use it for running windoze compatibility tests. It's also a great way to test out the latest Knoppix images when they come out.

VMWare's greatest strenth are their enterprise products though. I think they ought to lower the price of the workstation version so as to build familiarity and mindshare amongst folks.

Yea we run ESX in house and have replaced about 50 1u servers with 4 4u horses that with vmotion allows us better failover and heartbeat times..
