Who said I agreed with Eugenics? I don't believe that in any of my posts I gave an opinion one way or the other. I was just giving you the information for the argument on the other side. You could do with it what you wish.

And I hate to tell you this but my grandmother begged me to kill her with a pillow. She was in a lot of pain. I held her hand when she died. The hospice nurses that had taken care of her at home showed up at the hospital to say goodbye. They were some of the best people I've ever known. If anything I was taking up for the hospice because everyone seems to want to portray them as evil or having some ulterior motive. The people who take care of our dying are some of the strongest people I know.

I do not want to ever become desensitized to this. I don't want to ever shrug my shoulders and say, "It happens all the time; there's nothing I can do about it." Because, there is much we can do about it. We can save lives. but we must not become discouraged. Every time we save a life, we will have accomplished the greatest of victories.

"We will be up against some very strong opposition," you are so right - powerful ones...they have been organized, networked and dedicated to this for years. But theirs is a dark cause and darkness cannot exist where there is light.

We are starting to shine the light of publicity on them - we have a network now (FR/Internet) that gives us the ability to alert/work and shine the light on this nightmare. WE can do it. It's our job to do it. We do this for His children...

No one person on this thread, no matter how much of a fuss he or she kicked up, could've accomplished this alone. It's when we all band together, and when many individuals contribute in whatever way they can, that we are able to get things done.

Some people pray, some people email, some do leg work, and some make phone calls... and TOGETHER we change the world!

Every single person here made a difference. What you did made a difference, even it doesn't immediately seem that way to you. God will bless you for those emails you sent, whether you receive a response from the parties you sent them to or not. Maybe, you will still receive a response, but much later than you expected, because the seed you planted with those emails may take time to grow. A lot of slumbering people require more than one nudge to wake up. You have given those churches that first nudge. God bless you.

One more thing to think about: The only reason you heard about these cases is because family members made them public and Hospice care was involved. Think about the cases you will never know about, the people who can afford private nursing care, either at home or in an extremely private facility. What are you going to do for them?

Terri's death was tragic, horrific, sinister, etc. Terri's death was a lot of things, but it was not in vain.

Which cites two other hospitals under investigation for questionable deaths. One 62 elderly patients!! it is mind boggling.

Great victory today you won for Mae, and I am so thrilled , I did come in late this evening to lend a hand with e-mails just as you posted the good news that Mae was out of the Hospice on the way to hospital.

I read back in this thread a long way to see your responses and I thought I knew where you were coming from.

I am sorry if it seemed I was focusing on you. I did do that but it was just to find a contrary point of view so I could post my long winded essay, LOL! I am kidding, my post was from the heart.

Also, I am not calling you a eugenics follower. I know I implied it but by that I mean the current judicial decisions are setting up a "eugenics" like future. I am thinking in the abstract. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
