We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Prince Ranier of Monoco is dead.
PM Blair asked the Queen to dissolve Parliament, which request was granted, setting the stage for general elections in Britain on May 5, 2005 (05/05/05).
If you're an American and you want to travel to Canada or Mexico after January 1, 2008, you'll need a passport under new rules called for in legislation passed by Congress (it was tucked into the Intelligence Bill).
Britain is complaining bitterly about new travel requirements set forth by the United States that will require travelers entering this country to have biometric passports or, in lieu of that, a visa from the United States granting entry. Only a small number of countries - England is not among them - will be ready by the October 26 deadline. In reality, however, they have little to complain about as the requirement has a grandfather clause: it only applies to passports granted after October 26, those issued before then will still be used according to current rules (no visa for Britain).
The Carter Center claimed President Bush passed over Jimmah in selecting the folks who would be part of the formal entourage to the Pope's funeral on Friday.
And, apparently, God is in tune with the Pope's passing; the sky's will darken across a large portion of the western hemisphere as a partial solar eclipse occurs on Friday, the day of the Pope's burial.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
The Sears story reminds of another Sears story I've heard. A neighbor of my sister was digging a basement under their house (it was on a hill) and found a buried kid's slide. He took it into Sears to see how old it was. The manager was shocked at the condition of it and wanted to replace it. That was Sears in the 50s. No more.

Thanks for this information. Our family has been to many of the Canadian provinces and are likely to take a side trip to B.C. next year when we plan to visit Seattle and CA relatives on a big western trip, God willing. So I'm glad it isn't in effect yet next year although I do appreciate the efforts to tighten up the borders.
Rain here today. Hope it doesn't further mess up our basement. Last week when we were out of town, it rained on top of the melting snowbanks and caused a little minor flooding in one corner.
There is still snow to be melted but at least some bare areas are starting to appear in the yard. Hurrah! Our total for the winter is at 248.5 inches - a bit behind last year but slightly above average. It may not be over though as the average for April is 7.7".
The all time record here is for 1978-79 when the total was 355.90 inches.
Dolly, glad to hear your yard is now a snow-free zone!
Kayak, sorry to read of your trials and tribulations at the place of business. Hang in there!
Good Morning. I am set up and ready for business (lurking style)
Warm and humid here. Storms in the forcast.

Glad to hear it!
Good News about your shift work. Enjoy your free time exploring the area. It's a wonderful opportunity to see our largest state at someone else's expense.
ABG, you could be right. The Pres might use the opportunity to give Khatami a message for the other mullahs.
Good to hear your mom is doing well after her surgery kassie.
2/3's, I unabashedly stole the tagline off a sign a guy had on his pickup truck. And it was a sign not just a bumper sticker. heh!
Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction...
LOL, cute.
;-)
I plan to do the taxes tonight. I need quiet and hubby is working out of town. It is a perfect setting for doing taxes. If he was home, the moans, groans and mumbling under my breath would keep him awake.
#54...AHHHH!!!
My post 55...I hope you see the big wink and smile.
I'm not done either. I have provisionally completed Federal, but haven't completed Virginia. Then I need to go check and see if filing separately at the Federal level will be cheaper (not a long process), and finally I need to complete Prince Williams county personal property inventory.
Were you able to enjoy any of this great weather, Nita?
I R Deadlined.
Sciattica nerve aGAIN!!
Back to finding a comfortable position.
