Oh how sad, Poor little thing. I'm sure the compassionte thing to do would be to end his misery and put him down like a dog. Oh yes, that is wht our dear friends in Florida believe. I just hope they don't get their hands on this poor little baby.

I think it's quite bizarre to suggest that this infant is a target for "mercy killing." I don't think we do that here, except in extreme cases where the baby can't survive for long anyway.
I may be deceived, and Florida may be a dangerous place with cowboy judges, but someone is blowing this out of proportion.

Come now, I think this talk of euthanasia is a bit premature. If he is not severely mentally disabled to the point of being nonresponsive, there's no precedent for euthanasia at this point for a physical deformity. Let's cut the hyperbole and just deal with the truth?

You really put Free Republic on the spot with this one.
200k members, many of which claim to be pro life... if someone doesn't step up to adopt this baby, it kinda gives the pro death people a chance to call us hypocrites, and they;d be right, I think.
I said to myself, I am pro life, and this baby has worth to me, but I can't do it. I have enough trouble as it is being a single parent sharing custody of a healthy 11 year old. How would I work AND take care of an infant? I just can't do it.
But I feel like a danged hypocrite, ya know that?

I don't live in FL, and as Critter mentioned, I feel a bit like a hypocrite for saying so, but I can't quite manage another baby myself right now.
So, in lieu of that...a prayer for a family for this little guy, and...
BTTT!
