Terrible to hear of this poor little girl.

I, too, like dogs, but many dog attacks around here seem to be done by that same breed. Is it actually the breed of dog, or their treatment or upbringing or... what...

I guess I always thought all dogs had that behavior in them; somebody enlighten me please?

They are inbred to fight. It has gone on for so long that even if one appears to be a warm and loving pet, they have a history of snapping and reverting to their pre-ordained killing machine status.

Outlaw the breed. Period.

It's the breed. Some dog breeds were created to kill rats (terriers). Some breeds were created to kill hunt wolves (wolfhounds). Some breeds were created to kill rabbits (beagles).

Pit bulls were created as urban protection dogs. They were bred for the ability to kill humans who were invading their territory. They are not intended to be used as pets. They are killers by instinct.
